U23 warm-up match: 0-0! 17 shots failed, the Chinese team shook hands with the Thai team and made a draw

At 16:00 on October 14th, the Chinese U23 men’s football team played a warm-up match against the Thailand U23 men’s football team. Both sides made big moves in this game. The Chinese team failed to score any of its 17 shots, and the two teams ended in a 0-0 draw.

In this game, the Chinese team continued to inspect the team lineup. The absolute main players such as Xu Bin, Li Hao, Wang Yudong, Kuai Jiwen, and Baihe Lamu were on the bench. Coach Antonio lined up four Zhejiang team players, Ga Yangxi, on the defense line. The midfielders Mao Weijie, Shirzati, Yang Haoyu, and Li Moyu lined up; the forwards were Liu Chengyu and Zhu Pengyu.

After the game started, the Chinese team actively launched an offensive. Wang Shiqin and Li Moyu on the left were more active, but it was the Thai team that posed the greatest threat. In the 3rd minute, No. 10 Igrat of the Thai team made a cross from the left, and the following player hit the goal from a small angle and hit the side net.

In the 8th minute, central defender Zhang Aihui passed the ball back to the goalkeeper from outside the penalty area. Huo Shenping failed to stop the ball and gave his opponent a corner kick. In the 10th minute, his teammates made a pass from the backcourt. Li Moyu rushed into the penalty area from the left and shot. The ball hit the opponent's body and bounced out of the baseline. In the 19th minute, Liu Chengyu jumped up and kicked his opponent's ribs, but the referee Xing Qi did not express any reaction.

In the first 40 minutes of the first half, the Chinese team did not create any real scoring opportunities. Only captain Liu Haofan's two headers were slightly threatening. At the end of the half, the Chinese team launched a fierce attack and continued to suppress the Thai team in the frontcourt. In the 44th minute, Mao Weijie passed the ball from the left side of the penalty area. Zhu Pengyu jumped up and headed the ball towards the goal. As a result, the Chinese team missed the best scoring opportunity in the half.

In the second minute of half-time stoppage time, Liu Haofan deliberately raised his elbow in the frontcourt and hit the opponent's No. 3 Badarabang on the chin, and was given a yellow card.

Although the technical statistics of the Thai team were at a disadvantage in the half, they had two very close chances to score. In the 28th minute, Igor broke into the penalty area from the left and passed the defensive player across the middle. No. 9 Yusha Gong's shot missed; in the 36th minute, the Chinese team's defensive player on the left was easily passed by the opponent. Fortunately, the opponent did not grasp the timing of the pass well. Yusha Gong in the middle scored with a shovel shot, but it was ruled invalid because he was in an offside position.

In the second half, the Chinese team made extensive personnel adjustments. Except for goalkeeper Huo Shenping and right back Yang Xi, the rest of the starting lineup were replaced. Wang Yudong, Kuai Jiwen, Peng Xiao, Muta Lipu, Baihe Lamu and other main players appeared.

In the 58th minute, the Thai goalkeeper made a direct pass from outside the penalty area. Kuai Jiwen successfully intercepted the ball and then sent a through ball. Baihelamu pushed the ball into the penalty area and the Thai team's defensive players blocked the ball from the baseline.

In the 86th minute, Baihe Lamu was kicked down by his opponent No. 8 with his powerful kick, which almost caused another conflict between the two sides.

The score has not been changed since then, and the Chinese U23 men's football team can only accept the result of a 0-0 draw.
