Official: Dortmund buyout defender Svensson, signing until 2029

According to the official news of Dortmund on May 14, the club bought out defender Daniel Svensson.

Svensong joined Dortmund on loan from North Zealand at the beginning of the year. Now he has signed with the club until June 30, 2029. Dortmund has activated the buyout clause in his lease.

Dortmund sports director Kyle said: "Svensson has fully met our expectations since day one. He quickly integrated into the team and immediately enhanced our roster with outstanding performance. His game intensity and flexibility are very consistent with our tactical system and provide us with a variety of options. In addition, Daniel is also an excellent boy and a professional example. Therefore, it is natural for us to officially include him in Dortmund now."

Svensson has played in 15 official games so far, including 11 starts, and the left-back scored 1 goal and contributed 2 assists during this period.

Svensson said: "I was warmly welcomed here and quickly got involved in the team. I am very happy to continue playing for Dortmund in the future. It is a top club with great fans. My goal is to win with the team, and I will train hard every day for this."
