Official: Brentford buys out Birmingham midfielder Donovan, the youth team in 15 games 11 goals and 10 assists
June 2 Brentford officially announced the buyout of Birmingham 18-year-old midfielder Romelle Donovan. The two sides have signed a contract for 5 years, and the club still has the option to renew the contract for one year. In February this year, Donovan joined Brentford B on loan. He played for the team in 15 games, scored 11 goals and sent 10 assists. In the new season, he will be promoted to Thomas Frank's first team. Before joining Brentford B, Donovan was loaned to the League One team Burton for half a season. He played 9 games for Burton and scored his first goal with the senior team in his last appearance. In the 2023-24 season, he played 10 games in the Championship and FA Cup for Birmingham. Moreover, he has played for England U18 and U19.
