Salah talks about winning the FWA player: Incredible, hopefully becoming the only four-time winner

May 23 According to the English Football Journalists Association (FWA), Salah recently won the Best Player Award.

It is reported that Liverpool winger and Egyptian international Salah and Arsenal striker Russo received their awards at the FWA (Football Writers Association) annual dinner held in London on Thursday night.

It is worth mentioning that this is the third time that Salah has won the Player of the Year Award, tying Henry's record. Previous Player of the Year Ian Rush paid tribute to Salah before he took the trophy from FWA President John Cross. Another former Arsenal and England striker Kelly Smith paid tribute to Russo. Russo left early as she needed to prepare for the women's Champions League final against Barcelona in Lisbon on Saturday.

In response, Russo said: "I feel very honored to win this award. As a striker, you really need the support of those around you, so I am very grateful to my teammates and my family."

Salah said: "It's incredible. Winning this award from a reporter is special. Let's try to win again and be the only four-time winner."
