NBA Nets officially announced signing Zeng Fanbo

It is reported that the two sides signed an Exhibit10 contract, and Zeng Fanbo will wear the No. 12 jersey to participate in the team training camp and preseason. This signing also gives him the opportunity to participate in the NBA China Championship held in Macau, China on October 10 and 12.

Although this contract is not a guarantee contract, 22-year-old Zeng Fanbo has made it clear that he hopes that this will become his "first stop" to reach his official NBA seat.

As a former four-star high school potential player in Florida, Zeng Fanbo was selected into the state's best team, and later joined the NBA Development League to "ignite the team" and represented the Pacers in the summer league in 2022. In the same year, he returned to China to join the CBA Beijing Shougang team and ushered in an explosion in the 2024-2025 season, winning the "Most Progressive Player" and being selected as the first team of the CBA.

In the CBA regular season last season, Zeng Fanbo played 37 games, averaging 14.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.5 blocks per game, with a three-point shooting percentage of up to 41%, setting career highs in many data. He continued his outstanding performance in the playoffs, averaging 15 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game. Zeng Fanbo ended the season early in the third game of the semi-finals due to a back injury. Exhibit10 contract provides Xiao Zeng with a channel to compete for two-way contracts or development league opportunities, but the Nets currently only have one two-way contract quota. If Zeng Fanbo performed outstandingly in training camp and preseason, he is expected to compete for this quota and thus qualify for the NBA regular season. Otherwise, he may be transferred to the Nets' Development League affiliate team, the Nets, to continue to hone their training.
