Lens official: Signing French striker Edward from Crystal Palace to sign until 2028

Hupu September 1st, Lons Club officially announced that French striker Odesson Edward returned to Ligue 1 from Crystal Palace, and the two sides signed the contract until 2028.

The 27-year-old former French national youth international has played for Paris Saint-Germain's youth training, Toulouse, the Celtics and the Premier League's Crystal Palace. Last season, he was loaned to Leicester City.

Edward is known for his efficient ending ability, and has shown his strengths in the Soviet Union and Premier League in his career. During his time at the Celtics, he scored 87 goals and won multiple honors, and was also the best scorer in the history of the French U21 team. After joining Crystal Palace in 2021, he scored in just 28 seconds of his debut in the Premier League, setting a record for the fastest winning goal.

After 9 years of overseas training, Edward will now wear the No. 11 jersey of Lens. The goal is to regain stable form in the team and continue to use goals to help the team move forward.
