Howard re-talks about his relationship with O Neal: We did have conflicts before, but now the grudges have been turned over

On September 3, the NBA entered the offseason. In an interview, former NBA star Howard talked about his grudges with O'Neal. He said bluntly that the two did have many conflicts in the past, but now they have turned the story. Previously, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame officially announced that O'Neal will be the Howard's Basketball Hall of Fame referee.

As we all know, O'Neal and Howard had a bad relationship before. O'Neal once publicly stated that Howard's playing style relies too much on physical fitness and lacks real skills. He also mentioned in interviews many times that Howard's defensive ability was overestimated, and even taunted Howard on social media. These remarks undoubtedly made Howard feel very dissatisfied. He responded to O'Neal's criticism many times, and the relationship between the two became tense.

In a recent interview with Howard, he talked about his relationship with O'Neal, saying that past contradictions have become history. Howard said: "Do you think of the holidays we had before? I mean, the conflicts before were really real. I think he looked down on what I did, and I was always annoyed that he had been targeting me, and that kind of things."

Howard then continued: "But let it go, my days in the NBA are over. You know, we are all wearing the iconic jacket of the Hall of Fame. Since we are all inducted into the Hall of Fame, we must respect each other."

Oneal will serve as Howard's referee at this year's Hall of Fame Awards. Speaking about this, O'Neal said that he was very honored to be a Howard's referee, and he believed Howard's career was very successful and his talent and hard work deserved recognition. Howard also said that he was very grateful to O'Neal for his support.
