Hold the No. 55 draw again! US media: The Lakers try out many rookies, including two centers

June 11th, the Lakers only have one No. 55 pick. According to US media HoopsHype, the Lakers have tried out several rookies: Lamont Butler, Isaac Noggs, CJ Huntley, Izan Almansa, and Clifford Omorui.

Omoruy plays as a center and leads the top ten leagues in blocks, averaging 1.7 blocks per game throughout his college career. During his 2023-24 season at Rutgers, he averaged 2.9 blocks per game and completed a total of 93 blocks this season. Omoruy is also an excellent rebounder. He averaged 12.2 rebounds per game per 40 minutes during his college years. In his most recent season at the University of Alabama, he averaged 6.5 rebounds per game in just 19.2 minutes.

Izan Almanza, 20 years old, from Spain, plays as power forward/center. He played for the Perth Wildcats in the Australian NBL last season, averaging 6.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.
