Topps new team set is about to be released: Jota will still appear on the card surface and there will be out of print signs
Hupu August 7th News TheAthleticUK Liverpool team reporter James Pearce and several media confirmed that Diogo Jota will still appear in the card pool of the official star card of the Premier League 2025-26 season, and the new series will be released in the UK on Thursday. The Liverpool striker and his brother Andre Silva were killed in a car accident in Spain's province of Zamora on July 3. However, the final list of Topps Premier League star cards for all 20 clubs must be determined by the end of May before it can be sent to production. Jota will be wearing Liverpool's new version of Adidas jersey and debut on the card. Tops has informed Liverpool of this unfortunate news. The Topps series will be available in the UK on August 7 and the international market will be available on August 21. Some star cards are 10 packs, including autographs of active and Premier League legends. It is reported that Jota signed some of the star cards. Liverpool recently announced plans to erect a commemorative sculpture at Anfield Stadium as the focus of a permanent tribute to Jota. Slotte's players will also wear the "Forever20" logo on jerseys and stadium jackets during the 2025-26 season, and Liverpool Football Club's official charity, the Liverpool Foundation, will also launch a grassroots football project under the name of the Portuguese international. In the first Premier League match at Anfield Stadium on Friday, August 15, Liverpool will draw a special mosaic pattern for fans and hold a one-minute silence. Liverpool announced last month that they will permanently retire the No. 20 jersey of the club's leagues to commemorate Jota who made 182 appearances for the club and scored 65 goals.
