Knicks: The Heat, Knicks and Trail Blazers are interested in Israel s clues
Knicks reporter Ian Begley updated social media today, revealing that Israeli inside Romain Sorkin has attracted the attention of several NBA teams. Ian Begley said: "According to league sources, with his outstanding performance on behalf of the Israeli national team in the European Cup, Romain Sorkin of Tel Aviv Maccabi has attracted the interest of the Portland Trail Blazers, the New York Knicks and the Miami Heat. Sorkin currently has a contract with Tel Aviv Maccabi, one of the top big players in the European League last season." In the 6 games of this year's Men's Basketball European Cup, Sorkin averaged 16.5 points, 6 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.5 blocks, with a shooting percentage of 51.4%. In the game against Iceland, Sorkin made 13 of 19 shots and scored 31 points and 5 rebounds, becoming the first single game of 30+ in this European Cup. During his time at Maccabi Tel Aviv last season, he averaged 12.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. It is worth mentioning that Sorkin's national teammate Avdia plays for the Trail Blazers.
