Hakim Warrick, Hakim Warrick, 6-foot-9 (206 cm), plays as a small forward (SF)/power forward (PF). He was born in July 1982 in Philadelphia, the largest city in Pennsylvania, USA. He was produced by Syracuse University (also known as Syracuse University). He was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies with the 19th pick in the first round of the 2005 NBA Draft.

Hakeem Varick has the reputation of being a "helicopter". He has excellent vertical jumps and fast bounces. He has advantages in rebounding and blocking. He can quickly jump and grab rebounds or interfere with opponents' shooting. He has outstanding close and dunk skills in the spot, reliable right-hand shooting ability, excellent breakthrough layup ability, strong inside lethality, able to score efficiently at the basket, turn around jump shots from the middle distance, and has a certain power, and outstanding offensive rebounding and defensive rebounding abilities.

However, Varick's three-point shooting ability is weak, and his ball control and passing ability is average. He is not suitable as the team's organizer. When facing opponents' tight defense, he is prone to making mistakes. His psychological quality is not strong at critical moments. Although he has certain advantages in frame protection and stealing, his horizontal movement speed is slow and his external defense ability is average. He is prone to lose position when defending single and chasing defenders. When facing players with strong offensive capabilities, his defense stability is poor.

He played in the CBA, Turkey, Australia, Greece, Puerto Rico, Lebanon, Israel, NBA Development League and other leagues. In the 2018-2019 season, after completing all the schedules in the NBA Development League, Hakeem Varick officially ended his career as a player.
