Braun sprains left ankle, will miss at least 6 weeks

In the previous game against the Los Angeles Clippers, Nuggets player Christian Braun sprained his ankle after a collision with James Harden near midfield. He retired at the end of the first half and did not return to the game. The Nuggets officially announced that Braun will be re-evaluated in six weeks due to a sprained left ankle.

Braun started all 11 games for the Nuggets this season, averaging 11.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3 assists in 29.5 minutes per game. He shot 49.5% from the field, 21.4% from three-point range, and 79.3% from free throws. He also assumed key defensive tasks on the outside. According to statistics, when he is on the court, the Nuggets' net rating per 100 possessions is 10.7 points higher than when he is off the court. Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway II are expected to receive more playing time in his absence.

During this offseason, Braun signed a five-year, $125 million contract extension with the Nuggets, which will officially take effect next season.
