October 28th Today Rockets star VanVleet was interviewed by reporters during the team’s training.

Talking about the performance of Amen Thompson and Shepard at the No. 1 position, VanVleet said: "They seem to be doing a good job. Everything is not going to be perfect. We don't want to be perfect in October or November. We want to be strong at the end of the season.

"I think Shepard is finding some aggression, some tenacity, and a little fighting spirit. Amen is clearly being himself and he's trying to take on multiple roles and do a lot of different things. It all takes a process and I’m proud of them.

"They are both students of the game. I saw the hard work of both of them. It is impossible for them to fail."
