World Sports Inventory of Barcelona s African goalkeepers: 226 goals in total, Etoo leads the lead with 131 goals and 131 goals

August 20th, "World Sports" counted the goal record of African players in Barcelona's history, and the data showed that African players have scored a total of 226 goals for Barcelona so far.

The first African-American player in Barcelona's history is Jorge Alberto Mendonsa, an Angolan nationality. He played for Barcelona for two seasons between 1967 and 1969. Even though he was born in Luanda, Angola was a Portuguese colony. Mentonsa therefore became the first African player in Barcelona to score a goal. He scored in the Cup against Malaga in May 1967. Of course, Barcelona's top spot in the African scorer is Eto O. The Cameroonian star ranks eighth in the team's history with 131 goals, second only to Messi, Cesar Rodriguez, Suarez, Kubala, Samutil, Escola and Paulino Alcantara. Eto Obirivaldo scored a goal. In addition to the numerous goals, his performance of scoring 4 goals in a single game against Valladolid on November 8, 2008 was particularly shocking.

The closest Etoo's record is Fati, who was born in Guinea-Bissau and naturalized in Spain and became an international player, but the gap is still huge. However, his career was frustrated by severe meniscus damage he suffered in 2020, and he underwent four surgeries during this period. At least next season he can't close the gap with Cameroon's scorer as he has been loaned to Monaco.

A total of 13 African players have scored goals for Barcelona, and two others failed to score: Nigeria's Samuel Okunovo and Ghana's Kevin Prince Boateng.
