TA: If Leipzig is really interested, Nkunku may be willing to return to play for the Bundesliga

Hupu August 11th News TheAthleticUK Chelsea+German reporter's latest report, if Chelsea striker Christopher Nkunku's former club is interested in the transfer, he may be willing to return to RB Leipzig this summer.

This summer, Nkunku has been the focus of clubs in Germany, England and Italy.

Leipzig is one of many teams interested in the 27-year-old, but is cautious about the arrangements for the potential deal as they fail to qualify for the 2025-26 European court this season.

According to TheAthletic, Nkunku is expected to leave Chelsea this summer and he is not happy at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea estimated the French international at €50 million, and Chelsea priced him £65 million in January.

TheAthletic reported on June 24 that Nkunku had contacted Manchester United, but Manchester United finally prioritized signings from other strikers, while Bayern Munich and Barcelona also became interested in him early in the transfer window.

Nkunku's contract with Chelsea will last until 2029.

Last season, he played 43 times in various competitions and scored 14 goals, but only started nine times in the Premier League.
