Riyadh wins to become the third team to convince Ronaldo to renew his contract, and only Manchester United and Real Madrid have done it before

June 27th, 40-year-old Ronaldo officially renewed his contract with Riyadh until 2027. In Ronaldo's long career, Riyadh won has become the third club to successfully convince him to renew his contract.

Ronaldo has been victorious in five clubs: Portuguese, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and Riyadh. During this period, he has reached a contract renewal with the club four times, two of which were with Real Madrid, one with Manchester United, and the most recent one with Riyadh. Ronaldo's first contract renewal occurred during his first time at Manchester United. He joined Manchester United in 2003 and renewed his contract with Manchester United in 2007 until 2012. However, two years later, he joined Real Madrid with a record 94 million euro transfer fee.

The second and third contract renewals were both during Real Madrid's period. In 2013, Real Madrid and Ronaldo renewed their contract for five years until 2018; in November 2016, Real Madrid renewed their contract with Ronaldo until 2021. However, before the contract ended, Ronaldo left Real Madrid to join Juventus in the summer of 2018.

Royce and Juventus signed a contract for four years at that time, and the two sides have not reached a renewal since then. Ronaldo left Juventus and returned to Manchester United in 2021.

After joining Manchester United for the second time in 2021, Ronaldo signed with the team for two years and was optionally extended for one year. However, this relationship was very short. After breaking up with coach Ten Hach, Ronaldo left Manchester United in November 2022.
