Pakistani media: Botafogo will enjoy Almada transfer income exclusively, Lyon cannot share

July 25th Brazil's Global Sports reported that Botafogo will enjoy all the benefits of Thiago Almada's transfer to Atletico Madrid.

Although this seems to be natural, the Argentine midfielder's previous loan relationship with Lyon had complicated the deal, and the transfer fee should theoretically be shared by the two clubs, but the situation reversed as the internal relations of the Hawks Football Group created by boss John Tuctor broke down.

Therefore, Botafogo, who is the owner of the player, will receive a basic transfer fee of 21 million euros paid by Atletico Madrid. If the player reaches the floating contract terms, the total amount can reach up to 30 million euros.

Previously, Bottafogo and Lyon operated in the Eagle Group's internal "fund pool" model, but after Tector stepped down as chairman of Lyon due to financial problems, his club began to operate independently.

Last week, AresManagement Investment Group, which assisted Turkot in acquiring Lyon, attempted to deprive it of control of Bottafogo, was eventually boycotted by club employees.
