Neville: Manchester United s move to introduce a new goalkeeper may make Onana consider leaving the team

August 24th, Manchester United executives are about to complete a deal against Antwerp goalkeeper Lamons for £17 million. Gary Neville questioned Manchester United's goalkeeper situation, saying Onana's confidence may have been shaken and may even ask to leave the team before the transfer window is closed next week.

Neville said: "I have been asking about this this morning and talked to some people at Manchester United. I feel that the new player may be the No. 2 goalkeeper, starting from the bench, but they definitely need a No. 1 goalkeeper."

"Manchester United's top priority is still to score goals, and we think Cunya, Mbermo and Sheshko can solve this problem. We think Onana will start today, but the situation is not right."

"Baindel started last week, but he made a lot of mistakes. Now Onana knows that Manchester United has been looking for a new goalkeeper in Europe to replace him. His confidence must have been hit, and he will definitely consider leaving."

"They have to solve this problem. The goalkeeper position and the midfield position beside B Fe are two things they need to solve this week."

When asked who Fulham chose to be the starting goalkeeper, Neville said: "I will choose Onana, he is the most reliable of the unreliable goalkeeper they have."

"I think Bainder is young, and Onana is a better goalkeeper for me, although he will make mistakes, and he is not an ideal choice. But I think he has stronger traits and personality than Bainder, and he has experience, so I think Onana should start."
