Estewan: Thank you Palmeiras for everything he did for me. He is grateful to the coach

July 5th, in the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup, Chelsea 2-1 Palmeiras advanced to the semi-finals. After the game, Estewan accepted an interview with the media.

When asked if he could have paid more on the court, Estewan was a little angry and asked back: "Then what do you think is missing?"

reporter replied: "Maybe more possessing the ball in the midfield, or maybe the momentum of a last-ditch effort."

Estewan immediately whispered a few words with coach Abel Ferreira before responding.

"Okay, let's just say it. Well, I won't open my heart because last time you (the media) made things another way. One thing my father said to Abel was that he wanted a 'No.7': He wanted me to do his best on the court. I did, I ran to the best of my ability and helped my team with goals. We can't win every day, brother. Keep going, cheering for Palmeiras, and thank Palmeiras for everything he did for my life."

Estewan also took this opportunity to thank coach Abel Ferreira, who promoted him to Palmeiras' first team.

"Professor (respected title to coach), thank you for everything you do. I am full of gratitude for him, and I thank God every day for letting Abel appear in my life. I still remember that when I first moved up the first team, he came over and said to me: If you don't stare at the wide players, you can't play. It was then that I matured and he taught me tactical play. It's very important for my learning. Thank God for letting Abel and Palmeiras appear in my life. I'm very happy there, I'm very happy in Palmeiras. My family and I know how grateful we are to Abel, Palmeiras, and the players."
