British media: Nunes may leave Liverpool this summer, Reds seek offer over 59 million pounds
June 11th According to British media talkSPORT, Nunes is likely to leave Liverpool this summer, and the Reds will seek an offer of more than £59 million. Nunez attracted interest from Saudi clubs, and Riyadh Crescent had contacted Liverpool on Monday to ask about the player's transfer conditions. In January, Riyadh New Moon made a 70 million euro (£59 million) offer, and Liverpool currently uses this figure as the standard for players' value valuation. Fenway CEO Edwards and Liverpool Sports Director Richard Hughes decided not to sell Nunes in the middle of the season because they believed that keeping the player would help the team compete for the Premier League better. In June 2022, when Liverpool introduced Nunez, it spent £85 million to set a record club transfer fee. Retrieval of most of this transfer fee is a priority, especially when Liverpool hopes to bring in another striker this summer. According to talkSPORT, Liverpool's valuation of Nunez is also based on the player's performance when he started. In the 49 games in the starting lineup, Nunez contributed 25 goals and 13 assists, which is equivalent to scoring 1 goal in 2 games and 1 assist in 4 games. Even teams outside the Saudi league want to introduce Nunes, Liverpool plans to maintain a minimum valuation of £59 million. Nunes has not completely closed the possibility of transferring to the Saudi league, and the dealmakers believe that the Saudi team may succeed in making a decisive bid in the early stages of the transfer window, especially given that European clubs may not be able to match Liverpool’s asking price. As for whether this club is Riyadh Crescent, Riyadh Victory or other teams, it is still under discussion. Riyadh Crescent's inquiry is more about the final effort to find a striker before the Club World Cup, after which they failed to successfully introduce Osmeen. However, it is understood that Nunes is interested in going to Spain or Italy, and talkSPORT learned that Atletico Madrid is indeed interested in him. Liverpool has already evaluated Nunez's alternative candidate internally, with Isaac, Ekitic, Sesco and Joao Pedro all under their consideration.
