After Arnold announced his departure, Liverpool fans angrily denounced him as "Judas"

Trent Alexander Arnold announced that he would leave Liverpool club after his contract expired this summer, a news that has sparked a lot of slam by Liverpool fans on social media.

Trent Alexander Arnold confirmed that he would leave the club this summer, which has angered some Liverpool fans. Alexander Arnold has long been linked to rumors of a free transfer to Real Madrid, and the news that Reds fans have been worried about was confirmed on Monday morning.

The right-back decided to take a different approach than Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dyke, both of whom Salah and Van Dyke signed a new two-year contract. This means that after winning his second Premier League title with the team, he has only three games left as a Liverpool player, and after that he will leave the club he supported as a child.

He wrote on social media: "After spending 20 years at Liverpool Football Club, now I want to confirm that I will leave after the end of this season. This is undoubtedly the hardest decision I have made in my life.

"I know many of you are wondering why I haven't talked about it or are frustrated by it, but the idea I have always been to focus all my energy on the best interests of the team, which is to win the 20th League title. For 20 years, this club has been my whole life and my whole world.

"The support and love I feel from everyone inside and outside the club will always be with me. I will always be grateful to all of you. However, I have never experienced other life. This decision is to meet new challenges, step out of my comfort zone, and push myself forward on a professional and personal level.

"I have given my all in this club every day, and I hope you can feel that I have also paid back during my time at the same time. From the bottom of my heart, I thank everyone - my coaches, my head coaches, my teammates, the club staff and our amazing fans - for everything that has given me over the past 20 years.

"I am lucky to have achieved my dream here, and I will never take the special moments I have been blessed with you. My love for this club will never fade away."

His remarks were not recognized by Liverpool fans, and many fans think that he left the club he supported as a free transfer was a betrayal. "Go away, you traitor," one fan replied, and words like "Judas" and "villain" are also common in responses.

"Close the door when you leave," another fan wrote. Another added: "What is the hardest decision, you've been making a transfer idea for the past two years. Don't come back." Another concluded: "It's really disappointing that you made such a decision, but we knew it would be until you said it, and I wish you all the best. You'll need it."

Although the emotions are obviously very excited, there are also many positive responses. "Thank you, Trent, you will never walk alone (YNWA)," one fan replied. Another wrote: "You will never walk alone, Trent! I wish you all the best. I hope to see you come back as our captain." The third person added: "I wish him all the best, now let us keep going, you will never walk alone (YNWA)."
