NBA official: Zhu Holiday won the NBA Social Justice Championship Award in the 24-25 season

May 7th NBA official announced today that Celtics guard Zhu Holiday won the 2024-25 NBA Social Justice Championship Award.

Holiday stood out from five finalists to recognize his pursuit of social justice and inherited Jabbar's life mission - to participate, empower and promote equality of individuals and groups who are historically disadvantaged. Holiday will receive the Karim Abdur-Jabbar Trophy in recognition of his efforts to drive economic empowerment through philanthropy and creative capital deployment. The award is named after six-time NBA champion and Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Winners will advance their mission to drive change and inspire others to reflect on injustices over the past year and take collective action in their communities.
