Kings are not expected to sign Westbrook unless they make room by trading a defender
According to Sam Amick, the Sacramento Kings are not expected to sign Westbrook unless they make room by trading a defender.
Sam Amick said: "More specifically, if the Kings decide to give up Kumingga completely (although they are not expected to do so unless they can make room in the rotation through the trade defender), the possibility of signing Westbrook will increase."
There are currently reports that Kings defender Monk may be traded, which may pave the way for the team to sign Westbrook. If the team signs Westbrook, the plan will allow him to serve as the sixth man as a substitute for new player Schroder.
Not long ago, Westbrook refused to implement the 3.5 million player option next season and left the Nuggets. He is still a free agent.
