James: I dare not comment on Lakers management

In January this year, Anthony Davis asked the Lakers management to find a center for him and believed that he was more suitable for the power forward.

Less than ten days later, the Lakers used Davis to trade for Luca Doncic.

Of course, the Lakers have every reason to trade Davis for one of the futures of the league who is six years younger than him. However, many people were upset when boss Jenny Buss said Davis “complains about the position he played and he was not satisfied with his role.”

Jenny's statement proves that Davis was indeed kicked out of Los Angeles because of complaints!

LeBron James is unwilling to make the same mistake.

After being eliminated from the first round of the playoffs by the Timberwolves on Wednesday, James was asked whether the Lakers made a mistake and were too inclined to have no center philosophy, which led to him not being able to play a more suitable position.

"My old friend Anthony Davis said what he needed, and then he left next week." James laughed, "So, I have nothing to say. I put on my jersey every night and give everything I have, and that's the most important thing."

To be fair, the Lakers' lineup this season is indeed a bit distorted. Their attempt to trade Mark Williams and then forced to cancel it seems undoubtedly a big defeat now. James quoted Davis's statement about the Lakers' lack of big men, which is very telling.

James reportedly has a $52.6 million player option in the 2025/26 season. The old man is open to jumping out of the contract and signing a contract that is more favorable to the team to help the Lakers upgrade their roster. The

loss to the Timberwolves series made the Lakers clearly realize that the so-called five-squad lineup has proven to be unworkable at all. If they want to compete with the strong teams in the league, they urgently need to sign big men, whether on the outside or inside.

40-year-old James has not made any commitment to next season, but it is generally predicted that he will return to the Lakers in the 2025/26 season.
